This is old news, but I recently ran across this video montage from the 2008 presidential campaign. I find it interesting that the community organizer campaigned against a health care mandate. Not once, but over, and over, and over. He seems fine with it now.

Obama is now effectively neutered. While we can’t yet undo any of his liberal agenda, we can certain stop further damage. No liberal spending bills should make it through the house during the remainder of the community organizer’s stay. And that’s a very good thing.
There’s a fascinating and downright scary article today in Forbes. The article, written by Dinesh D’Souza, seeks to explain the reasons for Obama’s seemingly erratic decisions. The premise of the article is that Obama isn’t really a socialist, as some would believe. Instead, he’s simply the last in a long line of anti-colonialists (like his father) that seek to level the playing field by tearing down the last symbol of colonialism: The United States of America.

“It may seem incredible to suggest that the anticolonial ideology of Barack Obama Sr. is espoused by his son, the President of the United States. That is what I am saying. From a very young age and through his formative years, Obama learned to see America as a force for global domination and destruction. He came to view America’s military as an instrument of neocolonial occupation. He adopted his father’s position that capitalism and free markets are code words for economic plunder. Obama grew to perceive the rich as an oppressive class, a kind of neocolonial power within America. In his worldview, profits are a measure of how effectively you have ripped off the rest of society, and America’s power in the world is a measure of how selfishly it consumes the globe’s resources and how ruthlessly it bullies and dominates the rest of the planet.”
I must admit that the article does provide food for thought. If this is what is really driving the community organizer, it might explain some of his erratic decisions. It’s a long article, but well worth the read.
Apparently, the elitist community-organizer-in-chief thinks he knows best. He indicated yesterday that he is against extending the Bush tax cuts for the top tier income earners in our country. These are the small business owners in our country that actually grow the economy and hire the rest of us. Without them, there are no jobs — no growth.
But no, according to the community organizer, they shouldn’t have an opportunity to grow their businesses. No, Obama thinks only he and his cronies in power know how to spend their hard-earned money. He said yesterday:
“There are a whole bunch of better ways to spend the money”
Well now, isn’t that special. Who are you, Mr. Obama to decide how a small business owner spends their money? What experience do you have running a small business? What experience do you have trying to make payroll, or trying to invest in and grow your business? Who actually earned the money?
Are you freaking kidding me? You elitist, wealth-redistribution fool. I can’t wait until your arrogant ass is kicked out of the White House. We still have 2 years to wait until that momentous occasion, but for now, I’ll be satisfied if your far-left liberal demos are neutered and incapable of passing your fascist agenda. Two years of gridlock sounds good right about now.
There’s a good article today from Randall Hoven. In it, he discusses CBO numbers that show the total cost of the Iraq war to be $709B. That’s spread over a period of 8 years. While that’s a lot of money, it isn’t anywhere near the $3T amount that you’ll probably hear from the liberal democrats.
But most importantly, to put it in perspective: That’s almost $100B LESS than Obama’s stimulus bill. And what exactly do we have to show for the stimulus bill? Higher unemployment, a stagnant economy and an uncertain future. The Iraq war liberated a country and gave its citizens an opportunity for a much better future. It also attracted the terrorists to that location rather than to our soil.
So just remember the real cost of the Iraq war the next time you hear some liberal democrat spewing their lies.
Liberal democrats. They love to tell others what to do — as long as they don’t have to take their own advice. After all, they’re better than the rest of us.
Case in point. Michelle O’s lavish vacation in Spain. I personally don’t care how people spend their own money. But I do care how other people spend my money. And Michelle is burning through taxpayer money on this vacation. But even worse, it sends the wrong message. The Obamas talk about sacrifice and austerity — but it appears that’s only for their subjects. That doesn’t apply to them. They could easily vacation here in the U.S. What’s wrong with that? It sends the right example by encouraging us to spend our hard-earned dollars here at home. But I guess she would rather jet over to Spain to support their economy. How hypocritical. How elitist of them.
More commentary today on Obama’s pitiful lack of real-world executive experience. As the article points out, running a campaign does not count as executive experience. The chief executive of this country must be able to make the hard decisions without studying them for months (see the Afghanistan troop-level debacle). They need to know what’s going on in their administration at all times. And they need to accept responsibility for their actions and those of their administration. Remember, the buck stops here.
I can’t wait for 2012. Let’s all hope that we can survive as a country until then.
Dick Morris has a piece today that echoes my feelings exactly. The bottom line is that this president (i.e. the community organizer) doesn’t have the skill set to be president. In every regard, he is totally incompetent. As Dick Morris aptly says: It’s Jimmy Carter all over again.
Let’s hope the country can survive the remainder of his presidency. Is it 2012 yet?
Oh, well then that explains things. Obama has now said:
“From the moment this disaster began, the federal government has been in charge of the response effort. BP is operating at our direction.”
That explains why this has turned out to be one of the worst oil-related disasters in U.S. history. That explains why it’s taken so long to shut off the leak. Leave it to government to screw something up like this, and then brag about how they are in charge. Does this idiot actually think that his administration has done a good job? Isn’t this sort of like a criminal coming back to the scene of the crime and admitting that they are responsible?
What a freaking, incompetent idiot. All hail the community organizer in chief.
Who really cares what you have to say? How dare you come to our country and lecture us on our immigration laws. If you would actually take care of your own people, we wouldn’t have this problem. Why don’t you take a look at all of the corruption in your own government before you come up here to lecture us? Why don’t you provide meaningful jobs for your people? Why is that suddenly our problem?
If you don’t like our laws, then get the hell out of our country. That goes for your citizens as well. We are still a nation of laws — our laws, not yours. You and your citizens can either come here legally, or don’t come here at all. Comprende?
So get your foreign ass the frack out of our country — you’re not welcome here if you are going to disrespect us the way your citizens disrespect our laws.
